Short Functional Text

  Assalamualaikum welcome back to my blog. This time I will discuss about short functional texts, previously there was a blog that discussed this topic before. Don't even check it now.

  Short Functional Text can be interpreted as a short text that provides information about something that concerns your daily life. Understanding and examples of Short Functional text itself can be adapted to certain functions or activities. Examples of functional text include advertisements, movie posters, invitations, announcements, product reviews, warnings, etc.

Short Functional Text Type

1. Caution/ Warning

This short text has concise information aimed at the benefit of many people or the wider community. This short function text can be used to provide information about a guide or warning to many people.

Example:

-DO NOT ENTER THE STAFF ONLY

-PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR MOBILE PHONE

-NO SMOKING

2. Greeting Cards or Greeting Cards

Contains short text containing good wishes and wishes sent by someone at certain moments.

Example:

-Birthday card

-Greeting card

-Religion Card

3. Announcements

Announcements usually only contain short text that has a specific purpose in providing formal information to the public.

Example:

Announcement

There will be a flag ceremony on Friday to commemorate Pancasila Day. All students must wear a white and gray uniform.

4. Short Messages

Short Messages are in the form of short texts that aim to inform someone about certain information that you want to convey. The message is usually conveyed because you cannot meet the person in question in person. You can write short messages on paper or send them via short messages via your cell phone.

Example:

To: Danny

Don't forget to pick up your sister at the restaurant at 9 am.

Because it's raining today, don't forget to bring an umbrella.

Learn 3 Simple Tenses

  Assalamualaikum lur back again on my blog. This time I will talk about 3 kinds of simple tenses. Maybe it's not like I usually open in English, but because of assignments, this blog will use full English okay, hahaha. I have written this subject matter before, only this time using full English.

  There are 3 kinds of simple tense namely simple past tense, simple present tense, and simple future tense.

•Simple Past Tense

Simple past tense is a sentence that describes an event that has passed or the past.

Example:
-He walked to school yesterday
-I was here last night
-We were late yesterday

•Simple present tense

The simple present tense is a sentence that describes an event that is happening or is happening right now and is being done.

Example:
-We go to school by bus
-He goes to school by motorcycle
-I live in Semarang

•Simple Future Tense 

This tense is a tense to describe an event that has not yet started and will occur in the future.

Example:
-Will it be raining tomorrow morning?
-My whole family will be there next weekend.
-I will go to Bandung tomorrow

Contoh dialogue in Internasional Airport

   Assalamualaikum lur, kembali lagi di blog saya, Bagaimana liburan sekolah nya?, pada jalan jalan kemana aja nih?, apa cuman pada rebahan di rumah aja nih🤣. 

   Oke setelah absen beberapa bulan 😅, kali ini saya akan merangkum materi mengenai contoh macam macam short functional text dan dialogue yang biasa atau perlu kita gunakan menggunakan bahasa Inggris ketika sedang di bandara internasional seperti cara bertanya lokasi toilet ataupun membaca jadwal penerbangan, langsung simak aja di bawah ini lur.

  Seperti yang kita tau bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa internasional yang orang orang dari seluruh dunia gunakan untuk bertutur kata dengan orang dari luar negeri atau kita sebut saja bule agar mudah memahami nya ya lur. Walaupun demikian tidak semua orang bisa berbahasa Inggris, namun jika kita ingin pergi ke luar negeri pastinya banyak informasi yang bisa kita dapatkan berbahasa Inggris, seperti contohnya ketika kita ingin ke luar negeri dan sedang transit di bandara internasional. Nah di sini saya akan memberi kan contoh dialogue atau percakapan ketika sedang di bandara

  

Penggunaan Tanda Baca pada teks Deskripsi

  Assalamualaikum lur, kembali lagi ke blog saya. Melanjutkan materi yang diberikan Ms.Fatma kemarin, kami mempelajari dan mempraktekkan juga dalam teks deskripsi. Materi yang diberikan kali ini adalah Basic Rules of Punctuation and Capitalization.

Rules of Punctuation

 1. Full Stop(.)

    •In the end of the sentence

    •After abbreaviation

      ex: Ms, Mr, Dr, S.PD

2. Coma(,)

    •To separate 3 or more words

      ex: Alika buy pencil, ruler, and book

    •To mark off phrases in aposition

      ex: Nadhif, my brother nephew, is an                     architect.

    •To separate word phrases inserted into            the sentences

      ex: They, too, have expressed their                           opinion

    •To separate subordinate clause that                  comes before the main clause

      ex: When the bell rings, i will go to class

Rules of Capitalizion

 

   •Caritalize people's name, ex: Siti, Joni

   •In title

   •After full Stop(.)

   •Capitalize name of country, ex: Indonesia

   •Capitalize national noun, ex: Indonesian

   •Capitalize the word

   •Institution/organization

   •Names of festival, ex: Ied Adha, Christmas

Indonesian Artist Child

  He is one of children of a famous artist in Indonesia. He is the second son of Indonesian artist Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina. His name is Rayyanza Malik Ahmad, or we can call him Rayyanza.

  He was born in 26 November 2021. Even though he is only 1,5 years old, he already has a lot of fans. He has brother, his name is Rafathar. He has black hair, white skin, and black eyes. His favorite food is egg and noodle. He has a brave and jovial nature. So that's all i can describe about Rayyanza.

Minggu Kedua Belajar Bahasa Inggris dengan Miss Fatma

   Assalamualaikum lur, yak di Minggu ke dua ini saya masih diajar oleh Ms.Fatma. Pada pertemuan kali ini materi yang diberikan mengenai cara menyusun dan menulis teks paragraf dengan benar.

  Di sini kami diberikan materi tentang apa saja bagian-bagian pada teks. Terdapat dua bagian dalam teks deskripsi, yakni identifikasi dan deskripsi. Nah dibawah ini ada contoh tentang bagian pada teks deskripsi.

Example of Descriptive Text

My father bought me a present I’ve wanted for years. It’s a dog. A puppy to be exact.

I called him Ross. - (Identification) -

Ross is a small puppy. His size is as big as the palm of my hand. Ross is so fragile.

Sometimes I afraid I will hurt him if I want to take him up. Dad said he found Ross

near our house, crying looking for his mom. But Dad can’t see her, so Dad decides to

bring him home and give him some comfort. Ross is a good eater. He always finished

everything we gave him. Now, it’s been a year since Ross come to our family. His

small body has grown up into a size of a football ball. Ross is a good dog, and we

love him so much. - (Description)

  Kami juga diberi materi mengenai tanda baca pada teks deskripsi, namun pada pertemuan kali ini kami hanya belajar sedikit mengenai materi tersebut dan dilanjutkan pada esok hari karena sudah waktunya untuk pulang. Nah itu dia yang kami pelajari pada pertemuan kali ini. Maaf apabila ada salah kata maupun informasi yang diberikan, terimakasih.

  

Hari kedua belajar bahasa Inggris bersama Miss Ftama

 Oke lur kembali lagi di blog saya. Nah kali ini saya akan menceritakan apa saja yang saya pelajari hari ini bersama Ms. Fatma

  Setelah kemarin belajar mengenai dialogue, kali ini kami semua belajar materi simple tense. Ada 3 macam materi yang diberikan, mulai dari simple future tense, simple present tense, dan simple past tense.

  Yang pertama ada simple future tense. Merupakan tenses untuk menjelaskan suatu peristiwa yang belum mulai dan akan terjadi di masa yang akan datang. Contoh kata yang digunakan: will, shall, dan going to, etc

  Yang kedua ada simple present tense. Adalah kalimat yang menerangkan kejadian yang sedang terjadi atau masa sekarang dan sedang dilakukan, contohnya: I am sick, I study English, etc.

  Yang ketiga ada simple past tense. Simple past tense merupakan kalimat yang menerangkan suatu kejadian yang sudah berlalu atau masa lampau, contohnya: I studied English, i Walked to the school yesterday, etc

  Nah ada juga contoh penggunaan simple present tense, yaitu untuk menceritakan daily activites atau kegiatan sehari-hari. Dibawah ini merupakan daily activites saya

My daily activites

I wake up at half past four AM, i usually pray shubuh. Then I take A bath at 6 o'clock. After that, i have breakfast before go to school. At quarter to twelve, i have recess from school. I pray dhuhur first then have lunch at the class because i always bring lunch box. The school end's at half past three AM. Before go home, i pray Ashar first. Sometimes i go home at 5 PM or half past five PM because i have some activities on Ambalan organitatio. On the way, i went to the gas station. After arrived at home i take a bath first then pray magrib. We usually have dinner after pray Isya. The i do my home work. I usually watch TV in the living room while pating dinner. Usually go to bed around 10 or 11 at night.

 

 

First Day Pelajaran Bahasa Inggris di Kelas 11

 Assalamualaikum lur, hi back again on my blog this time I will share my experience learning English for the first time in grade 11 with Miss Fatma

  The first material given was about dialogue while at the airport. Here we provide an example of a dialogue at the airport, after which you are asked to do the questions below. Now, when answering questions, you are selected by one another to go forward to show answers to questions that have been worked on. Starting from women then men, and so on. During this session it was the most exciting and fun, because it cut off the ability to read, write and speak in front of the class in English. This really makes our English skills improve because we practice it directly in front of the class. Even though there is still a slight mispronunciation that makes some friends laugh🤣. For learning on the first day it was very enjoyable because it was the first time learning with Ms. Fatma. The material provided is also easy to understand so it is not difficult to do the questions given. We also pay to do assignments with a predetermined timeframe so that we can train us to work quickly and precisely to practice our English skills.
